To some, Bergamot is a small citrus fruit whose edible oil is used to make perfume, soap, tea, and candies.
To Bostonians in the know, Bergamot is the hottest new restaurant to grace Somerville’s Inman Square since Dali first opened over two decades ago. To you, it’s your new favorite spot to dine on progressive American cuisine for less with today’s deal: $25 for $50 of food and drinks at Bergamot.
Newly opened in April, Bergamot already has the makings of a big-name eatery. Think: a chef and owner team hailing from food scene standouts like Scampo, Craigie on Main, Excelsior, and Harvest; inventive cuisine featuring dishes like Sunchoke Bisque and Pan-Seared Monkfish (the seasonal menu’s always changing based on what is fresh in the market); a warm, intimate space formerly inhabited by EVOO; and a long list of glowing reviews from both critics and everyday diners.
That’s right, Bergamot is all abuzz: from the local produce celebrated on the plate, to the cocktails infused with homemade Bergamot syrup, to the warm neighborhood feel of the soft gold-tone dining room. It’s no wonder The Boston Phoenix gave Bergamot 4/4 stars, OpenTable rated it a top ten “Neighborhood Gem” and one of the top 3 restaurants in Boston “Fit for Foodies,” and UrbanDaddy called it “your new go-to in the greater Inman Square area.” Better yet, Bergamot offers a bar menu until midnight daily and will soon be serving brunch from 11-2 every Sunday!
So stock up on vouchers, use one voucher per guest per table, and see what all the buzz is about. Hint: We think Dad would really like to try the Grilled Flat Iron Steak with crème fraiche-laced yellow finn potatoes, morel mushrooms, dehydrated red onion, and ramp sauce. Wouldn’t it be nice if you grabbed him a voucher, too?

Why “They” Love Bergamot:
“…Think of Bergamot as your new go-to in the greater Inman Square area, especially when you're in the mood for a familiar locale (it’s in the old EVOO space) and some familiar faces (the chef/GM team cut their teeth in Excelsior, Ten Tables and Harvest), but some totally unfamiliar dishes—think duck served three ways (cured, crackling and thin-sliced) or even some Braised Rabbit Leg (early reports suggest it's not the Easter bunny). Helping you digest all that forward-thinking Americana: housemade pomegranate and acai vodka, a healthy stable of American and European beers, and Bergamot Gin (infused with the eponymous flower). And since any daring meal should be finished off with an equally daring dessert, they've concocted an off-menu Beer Ice Cream using Left Hand Milk Stout from Colorado and two scoops of vanilla ice cream. And yes, it tastes as good as it sounds.” -UrbanDaddy
"My wife and I were absolutely blown away by Bergamot. We tried to think of a better dining experience we've had and came up short. From the Amuse Bouche to the visit from Servio the owner, every aspect of the meal went above and beyond. The wait staff was attentive w/o being invasive and suggestions were offered when requested. The food was fantastic and it just seemed that the entire team was working together to make sure our experience was perfect. They care a great deal about what they are doing and it shows." –OpenTable user
"I was incredibly impressed with Bergamot -- unpretentious atmosphere (comfortable but upscale) and really wonderful food -- have been recommending it to everyone! Everything was great, from the fabulous dressing on the greens served with the pate, to scallops, which were perfect, and the tazo chocolate dessert was unbelievable. Can't wait to go back!" –OpenTable user
