Much as we’d love to leave this sweltering Boston heat and eat our way through Italy a la Eat, Pray, Love, few of us can actually pull that off. Which is why we’ve teamed up with Anna Romagnoli of la romagnoli & SON in Watertown to help you experience the delicious flavors of Italy sans passport. It may not be Venice, but did Venice get 4.5 stars on yelp, rave reviews in The Boston Globe and the Boston Herald, and interviews on FOX2five and WBZ?

This acclaim comes as no surprise since Anna is part of a culinary legacy started by her parents with their PBS Cooking Show, The Romagnolis’ Table, and their restaurant in Faneuil Hall where Anna was the Executive Chef in its later years. The art and the passion is apparent in her specialty food shop with an open kitchen that sells homemade pastas and sauces (made fresh daily), prepared food to eat there or take away, as well as cheeses, cured meats, and specialty items (like organic chestnut honey, and balsamic vinegars) imported from Italy.
Create some culinary magic of your own (and stop being embarrassed to have the in-laws over) since $35 will help you learn the time-honored secrets of Italian cooking through a cooking demo at la romagnoli & SON ($75 value). Chef/proprietor Anna Romagnoli will demonstrate the preparation of several complimentary courses of one authentic Italian meal that reflects seasonal cuisine. Keeping classes to small groups allows for dialogue, questions and answers.
Once the food has been prepared, you’ll sit down and eat it together, Italian-style.
Classes run in the evenings from 7:30-9pm (there are several dates now through March, please check the details). Since it changes each week, you can buy as many vouchers as you’d like and learn something new each time!
This unique experience is the perfect way to rekindle romance, catch up with friends, or entertain your family. Especially since you’ll enjoy a restaurant-quality meal for much less and reap the rewards for years.

“OMG I can't believe I didn't know about this place. It's within walking distance for me and dang, talk about GREAT. This is definitely going to be the go-to place for me when it comes to anything Italian--cheese, meats, pasta, sandwiches. The owner is so personable and loves what she's doing.”
-Crystal K.
“This place is a jewel. The best fresh sauces you'll find. Excellent fresh pastas. Really, really good sandwiches…Great neighborhood to get some fresh vegetables and middle eastern groceries while you're there!! Come on Cambridge, wake up, this place is right up the street!” -Linda K.
“Simply amazing. I used to be a restaurant critic, but this place has introduced me to tastes and textures I never even knew about. And yet the atmosphere is super no-frills and no pretension -- all about the food! It is also in a bright, wonderfully refurbished space, the owner and staff are all wonderfully friendly and welcoming, and the presentation is fabulous (eg the food looks pretty)…In short, my new favorite place -- I'll be going at least 1-2 a week for the unforeseeable future, and feel lucky to have finally discovered it (just opened in the fall, but advertising is mostly word of mouth in spite of a couple of high profile pieces in the local papers).” -Verity S.
