Everyone knows Boston’s best Italian food is in the North End, but anyone rooting for the home team tires of the hordes on Hanover Street. Plus, the tourist price tags at some of the restaurants can be tough to swallow. That’s why we followed the aroma of freshly baked bread around the corner and down to G’Vanni’s on Prince Street to score you an unbelievable deal that will fill you up without emptying your wallet.
For just $35, you’ll get $75 to spend towards food and drinks at G’Vanni’s, ranked four stars by satisfied yelpers. Buy as many as you want and use up to three vouchers per table, which means that for only $105, you can get $225 worth of whatever your heart (and stomach) desires! This is the perfect deal for that big birthday dinner or family get together, or stock up and always have a cozy spot to go on date night.
If you usually have trouble deciding what to order, then consider this fair warning – it’s hard to choose from G’Vanni’s large menu. Thankfully, it’s categorized making it easy to zone in on Veal Saltimbocco, Chicken Parmesan or Shrimp Scampi. There are also great vegetarian options, and we especially love the “hearty, healthy and wholesome” section of dishes made with whole wheat pasta.
No matter what you choose, you’ll start with warm bread fresh out of the oven and can wash it down with vino from a wide selection of wines. So dig in, and let’s get it together!

Why “They” Love G’Vanni’s:
“The first thing I liked about this place was its sense of warmth and coziness. It’s sort of hidden off on a side street. G’Vanni’s atmosphere is very warm- the smell of baking bread permeates the whole restaurant, there are only about ten tables, and the walls are red with gold hangings. It feels really romantic, not too casual, not too stuffy.”

“For starters, the complimentary warm bread, olive oil, and freshly grated parmesan cheese were delicious. My wife had the gnocchi which was smothered in a delicious red sauce. According to her, it was a fantastic dish. I had the CHIX CACCIATORE/HOT SAUSAGE: Boneless Sautéed Chicken Breast Smothered w/Tri-Colored Peppers, Onions, & North End Hot Sausage w/Our Famous Boston Red Sauce Served over Homemade Fusilli (text taken from G’Vanni’s web site). This was an excellent dish. I have a big appetite and I almost could not finish this meal, but it was so good that I just kept stuffing myself. Our server was friendly and took the time to help us with our menu choices.”

“We started out with the Mozza Wrap and Ceasar salad, these were by far the best apps I’ve ever had in an Italian restaurant. My husband then order the Pollo Saltimbocca and I had the Zuppa De Pesca, both dishes were outstanding! The chicken was extremely tender and he said he never tasted spinach that was so good, he’s not a veggie guy either. My dish was jam packed with mussels, shrimp, clams and squid, it was easily 3 servings of food on my plate.”
