You’ve gotta admire Madonna for her continual ability to reinvent herself. She knows how to change with the times, and she’s never afraid of a drastic makeover. Well, one of our favorite Boston restos has undergone a similar transformation. Earlier this year, the owners of Firefly American Bistro reopened the beloved Back Bay restaurant as Six Burner with an emphasis on comfort food.
For just $15, you’ll enjoy $30 worth of creative cuisine and delicious drinks at Six Burner. With one scrumptious bite from the still-steaming meals, you’ll see why UrbanDaddy, Thrillist and The Boston Globe all thought Six Burner’s comfort food really hit the spot. They’ve taken home-cooked recipes for meatloaf, grilled cheese, and other favorites, then added some tasty twists like sun dried tomato oil and sweet onion relish.
So, start the weekend off right with the Six Burner breakfast or a ginormous omelette during brunch. For lunch or dinner, choose from inspired apps like molten brie with cranberry jalapeno jam and French bread or chicken pot pie spring rolls. Dig into a juicy meatloaf burger or the BLT of the day. Order the classic grilled cheese or the tuna melt if you’re craving something more traditional. Wash it down with a locally brewed beer or a refreshing cocktail like the Southern Bliss (an intoxicating mix of SoCo, ice tea, pineapple juice, and a lemon wedge on ice).
You can also stop by for Wii Tournaments on Wednesdays or Trivia Night on Thursdays. Just be sure to save room for dessert, as their chocolate cake is legendary!
Pass the menus, and let’s get it, together!
